I can’t believe this is my first writing here since May! Time flies when your having fun, is the adage, and I can certainly apply it here.
My first adventure started back in June with a contract for Sony Computer Entertainment America, mixing and editing music for a PS3 game called Uncharted: Drake’s Fortuneâ„¢.
The music was composed by Greg Edmonson (Firefly among other television scores) and recorded in late July at Skywalker Sound. Although I’ve worked at Skywalker many times over the years; these sessions with 50 to 60 pieces depending on the day, were the most spectacular ones I’ve been a part of there.
Leslie Ann Jones ran the sessions. She is certainly best of class! Understated, like so many scoring engineers, but with iron clad precision control of her team. It was fun taking part in such a talent fest.
Uncharted was released on November 19th and the soundtrack was an “electronic release only” around the same time on iTunes.
In addittion to Uncharted, a bunch of other projects kept me quite busy in summer and fall. With a little breathing room again, I’m goaling keeping you up to date with more news here. Stay tuned…!
Some of the most fun work I’ve done recently has been mixing Austin de Lone’s “Soul Blues” album. It features Jim Keltner, Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, of course Austin, and many others. Best of all, it’s out and available.

Have a blast working on some mixes for Tom Muller and Bruce Tambling. It’s always a pleasure to work with people who are experienced and Bruce is a real seasoned pro who’s been around! Tom’s music is fun, unique and innovative. Great for exploring new mixing ideas…
I just popped into Voice of Pentecost earlier this evening and happened upon Kathleen Carnali playing. Turns out she’s a first class Nashville artist on tour through California… Absolutely fantastic…! She’s producing first class material with the talent and persistence to back it up.
